The Garden State’s 23,000 eating and drinking establishments employ 311,000 people making the industry the State’s largest private sector employer. The NJRA provides membership and benefits opportunities for full-service restaurants, bars & taverns, catering facilities, brew pubs, diner restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, limited & quick service restaurants, institutional feeders, delis, pizzerias, country clubs, vendors, and students. DECROCE SAYS DEFEAT OF SALES TAX HOLIDAY BY DEMOCRATS WILL COST NEW JERSEY JOBS Assembly Republican Leader Alex DeCroce said he is deeply disappointed that Democrats would kill, without debate or consideration of any kind, a proposal to temporarily reduce the state sales tax by 50 percent during the holiday season. "What the Democrats did today will sound the death knell for more New Jersey businesses," said DeCroce, R-Morris and Passaic. "It will cost the state jobs and plunge our economy into an even deeper hole."
