Eating and drinking establishments, vendors, non-profits, schools and students are eligible for membership.

NJRA Leads Opposition to Xanadu Unfair Liquor Licenses
An article appeared in the Star Ledger on Saturday, December 20, 2008 announcing the NJ ABC Director’s decision to grant the $2000 special concessionaire’s privilege to a for-profit, regularly operating restaurant in the Xanadu Mall project in East Rutherford. This is the first of over 20 applications expected for the project, totally bypassing New Jersey’s normal liquor license acquisition process. The New Jersey Restaurant Association views this as a precedent setting decision that will not only devalue the liquor licenses in the East Rutherford and surrounding areas, but it could happen in a town near you next if we do not appeal and overturn the decision.
